The PUENTES Leadership & Resiliency Fellowship provides participants with the opportunity to engage in cohort learning for five months with other Latin-Jewish change-makers. The goal of this program is to empower participants to examine their individual leadership philosophy, sharpen their analysis of intersectionality and internalized oppression, learn from Jewish and Latino/x educators and narratives, develop tools for resiliency, grow in community and more confidently emerge as community leaders.
The VOCES Project is our community storytelling initiative that aims to co-create a Latin-Jewish archive with narratives from people who identify as Latin and Jewish. All community members are invited to share their experience of navigating a multicultural identity by writing a personal story that reflects the narrative they want to share.
The AYNI Healing Circle is a monthly, virtual gathering that brings together community members to grief, remember loss, and incorporate Latin and Jewish wellness practices. Named after the Quechua-indigenous term, Ayni (meaning “today for you, tomorrow for me"), this gathering honors the ancient idea of mutual reciprocity and incorporates Jewish and Latino/x traditions.
Committed to providing opportunities to learn and connect with one another, we design and facilitate in-person and virtual workshops that celebrate Latin-Jewish history and culture, center identity wellness, and engage communities in critical thinking about intersectionality and multiculturalism.
Inspired by the many ways in which to learn Jewishly, we design multi-sensory learning resources that encourage community members to explore Jewish texts, holidays, values and rituals at home, while also infusing Latin American texts and culture.
